The Saint Francis of Assisi ministry is hosting a viewing and discussion of the documentary, The Light Won’t Dim on Tuesday, February 17 from 6:30-7:30 PM at the St. John Parish Admin building.

The Light Won’t Dim is a 30-minute documentary exploring the promise and urgency of solar power in a time of climate crisis. From Puerto Rico’s Centro Buen Pastor, where solar panels became a lifeline after Hurricane Maria, to New York City schools and small-town rooftops, the film shows how communities are taking energy into their own hands. Featuring interviews with leaders like Senator Bernie Sanders, climate activist Bill McKibben, and clean energy innovator Jigar Shah, alongside local leaders and experts, the film reveals both the obstacles and the growing momentum for clean energy — a story of resilience, equity, and hope for the future.

All are welcome, including children.
