The Season of Creation is an annual observance from September 1st to October 4th, encompassing the World Day of Prayer for Creation and the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, dedicated to celebrating God as Creator and renewing our commitment to caring for the Earth through prayer and action. The Parish Family 14 Saint Francis of Assisi ministry has put together the following events to help celebrate the Season of Creation:

| Sun, Sep 7, after Sunday masses | St. John the Evangelist Admin Building | Saint Francis ministry is sponsoring Coffee & Donuts. In addition, to regular donuts, a plant-based option will be available as well as information on our ministry and the Season of Creation. |
| Sun, Sep 14, 12:30-1:30 PM | St. Alphonsus Parish Hall, 1415 NW 58th St, Seattle | The Social Justice Commission is hosting “The Climate Crisis and the Four Levels of Action” with speakers Paul Litwin and Len Kannapell. Details. |
| Sat, Sep 20, 10:00 AM – Noon | St. Benedict [Meet at the corner of Wallingford N and N 49th Street] | Neighborhood Cleanup. We will supply gloves, grabbers, garbage bags, and visibility vests. It will be a great opportunity for adults and children to beautify their neighborhood, have fun, and earn service credit! More details. |

| Sun, Oct 12, Noon – 12:30 PM | St. John Schoolyard | Blessing of Pets. All pets need to be leashed or placed in a cage or carrier. |
| Sat, Nov 8, Starts at 9:00 AM (rain or shine) | Christ the King Church | North Seattle Sacred Salmon Pilgrimage. We will join with other North Seattle parishes and schools to walk from Christ the King church to Carkeek Park to view the spawning salmon. More details to come. |
