Happy Laudato Si Week!
Laudato Si is the title of Pope Francis’ powerful and moving encyclical on climate change and climate justice that was released 6 years ago. The title is taken from the phrase “Laudato si’, mi’ Signore” or” Praise be to you, my Lord” from the third stanza of Saint Francis of Assisi’s Canticle of the Creatures.

Laudato Si week 2021, has been organized by the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and Global Catholic Climate Movement as a special time to celebrate this wonderful document and recommit ourselves to Laudato Si and action on climate change. On the dicastery website, it states that “Pope Francis invites all Catholics to take part in the joyful celebration, which coincides with the sixth anniversary (May 24) of when His Holiness finished writing the encyclical.”
There are events scheduled each day which you can stream to your desktop or mobile device. You can learn more about Laudato Si week at tinyurl.com/mdhkyy8r. The program and links to the sessions can be found at laudatosiweek.org.

Working together, we can help take care of our common home.
